Forgiveness Is A Form Of Generosity

The message refuses to let generosity remain only about money. Bishop Hill argues that forgiveness is one of the clearest tests of whether grace has actually transformed a person. If God has released an unpayable debt, then his people must learn to release others from debts they feel are owed to them.

Mercy Must Be Reproduced

Matthew 18 is used to expose the contradiction of receiving mercy but refusing to extend it. The sermon presses the church to admit that no one standing by grace can honestly claim they deserved every second chance God has given them. That realization becomes the foundation for forgiving others.

Release The Debt

The Prison Of Unforgiveness
